A Walk Along The Promenade

A boomerang route which takes you away from the hustle of the city, through the scenic coastline, & then throws you back into all the buzz.



The forgotten Marina Promenade park, especially the section after the Benjamin Sheares bridge. Past that, round the tip of the park, the City skyline disappears & the Tanjong Rhu mushroom condos bloom, beside the Indoor Stadium in its all grandeur, changing ambient lights & all, reflections lighting up the Kallang River.

To look at clusters of buildings from afar, where tiny bustling activities flickering through the windows dim & sink into the bigger picture of uniform rows of square lights, the buzz dissipated & dissolved into peaceful air as the static silhoutte of the skyline looms, bright glowing red clouds fluttering past the streetlit twilight sky behind. The dormant concrete creatures lie silent, their tranquil character conceals all activities ever so silently. Or rather, drained of the bustling activities that infect them in the day, these buildings stand ever so grandly against the nightsky backdrop.
Whatever the case, it was a calming sight to behold, to dissolve all your worries.
